Anti-wrinkle Injections
Your every facial expression has the potential to develop into a wrinkle. Since preventing your face expressing emotions is something you cannot (and would not want to) do, permanent lines are inevitable.
Anti-wrinkle injections can be used to lessen or erase frown lines, crow’s feet and other wrinkles by blocking the overactivity of the muscles that cause them. A natural substance is injected in very small doses directly into the muscle that controls the wrinkle. This blocks muscle activity and, as a result, you look relaxed, refreshed and less troubled.
The serum needs to be injected every three to six months but, as the benefits increase with each treatment, the number of treatments required lessons over time.
Considering Anti-wrinkle Injections?
There are some common questions that many people who are considering anti-wrinkle injections ask, such as:
Is it for me?
Anyone with lines and wrinkles around the eyes, between the eyebrows or on the forehead is a candidate for anti-wrinkle injections.
This is a very safe procedure, but just to be sure you should avoid anti-wrinkle injections if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
What's involved?
Using a tiny needle, a very small amount of serum is injected into the areas of wrinkles. Because the needle is so fine and only a small amount of liquid is used, the discomfort associated with the injections is minimal. Most patients compare the sensation to a bug bite. No sedation or local anaesthetic is needed.?
Anti-wrinkle injections are a fast and simple procedure, performed in Dr Hunt’s office. Each session lasts about 10 minutes.
When can I go home?
You can leave immediately after the procedure. You can even drive yourself home or back to the office.
Will I have to return for post-operative care?
There is no need to return for follow-up after the procedure.
You should move the treated muscles frequently and not lie flat on your back for four hours.
How long will I be off work?
You don’t need to take any time off work at all. In fact, you can have the procedure done during your lunch break.
When will I see the end result?
The final effect will be seen 3 days after the procedure.
Given its unique mechanism of action, the anti-wrinkle injection serum offers sustained benefits, dose after dose, over the course of long-term treatment. Your first treatment will usually last approximately three months. When you notice a gradual fading of its effects you should return for your next treatment.
As you continue to receive the anti-wrinkle injection serum treatments, the effects last even longer, up to six to eight months.
Treatment with the anti-wrinkle injection serum can typically be repeated indefinitely.
