Chemical Peels
The skin on your face is constantly being renewed; the fresh, vital skin underneath replacing the dull damaged skin on the surface. A skin peel hastens this process by creating an even, controlled shedding of several layers of damaged cells to reveal a new layer with a more even colour and smoother texture.
From Nature’s Base
A skin peel can dramatically reduce imperfections and signs of age such as facial blemishes, pigmentation, fine lines and age spots, to reveal the beautiful skin beneath.
We use a naturally based chemical solution to remove the damaged outer layers of skin, which can be applied to your whole face or just selected areas.
Our treatments are all kind to your skin - there is no downtime or burning, and you can expect to immediately return to your normal daily activities.
To Suit All Skin Types
There are many types of chemical peels available using different agents.
Lighter peels use AHAs. These are usually carried out as a series of several peels and the initial effect feels like very faint sunburn.
Deeper peels are usually a one-off treatment and may cause crusting and a more intense sunburned look that requires up to a week off work. These peels are usually performed in a day surgery centre under light sedation.
Our trained staff can recommend a programme of skin care products and chemical peels to meet your needs.
The Programme
Before you begin a chemical peel programme it’s important to prepare your skin to ensure you gain maximum benefit.
You will undertake a 4 to 6 week skin preparation regime using a therapeutically designed cream containing Retin A, hydroquinone, steroid and a fat soluble Vitamin C.
Once your skin is ready you will have three individualised peel treatments, ideally administered at three-week intervals. You will then be given a tailored skin care maintenance programme and can begin to enjoy your fresh new look.
