- Tummy tuck after baby

Question:
Hi, after having three babies I have very loose skin on my tummy which even with hundreds of situps and hours of exercise it will not tone up and I HATE it, my main Q is my baby is nine months old and I was told that I cannot have a tummy tuck until my baby is 2 due to health insurance not giving a rebate?? Is this true or can I have a consult to get the ball rolling?Looking forward to your reply Sara.
Answer:
You can have a consultation regarding a procedure at any time. For Medicare and Health Funds to recognise the procedure and cover some of the costs though, different procedures need to meet certain criteria. In the case of a tummy tuck the procedure will be recognised if it is performed more than 12 months after the end of the last pregneacny.
