- Children after breast implants
-
Question:
Hello, I am think of having a breast enlargement but wanted to find out if I would be able to have children in the few years after or would that cause problems?
Answer:
Having breast implants will have no effect on your ability to have children and no effect on your ability to breast feed. The implant is behind the breast tissue so does not interfer with milk production. There will be changes in the size of the breast tissue with pragnancy though and it is hoped the skin will return to its pre pregnancy size after stopping breast feeding. If this does not happen it is possible a breast lift may be needed and this can occur with or without breast implants.
