Since everyone is different, Dr Hunt meets all of his patients individually. During these thorough one-on-one consultations, he discusses your needs and desires, answers any questions, and outlines what he suggests for the best possible result, including the cost. These consultations last approximately 30 minutes and cost $300, with a $72 rebate from Medicare if you have a referral from your GP.
Dr Hunt charges this fee to cover his time, and you’ll find it is consistent with the fee charged by his peers (those with the acronyms MBBS and FRACS behind their name, which signifies they have undertaken the 6-10 years of study and application it takes to qualify and master plastic surgery.)

The cost for Dr Hunt to perform your plastic surgery is calculated according to the complexity and duration of the procedure. It includes not just Dr Hunt’s time performing the procedure itself, but also your comprehensive before and after care, plus associated costs such as your anesthetist and hospital fees.
However, above all what you are paying for is quality – and if ever there was a time to invest wisely, it’s when you are entrusting your body, your health and your appearance. Dr Hunt urges you to be extremely cautious when considering ‘bargain basement’ surgeries – if the price seems to be too good to be true, it probably is. It is far better to invest in a top surgeon up front than to have to pay for a second surgery to correct the first.
As an example, the difference between having breast augmentation with Dr Hunt and a cheap alternative:
|Dr Hunt||Cheaper Surgeons|
|Surgery by a top plastic surgeon in a real hospital, under general anaesthetic performed a real anaesthetist, using top of the line implants.||Surgery performed by an average surgeon, in the back of their office, under local anaesthetic, using cheap, low quality implants.|
For some procedures, such as breast reductions, Medicare rebates may apply. Dr Hunt will discuss this with you during your consultation.
Private Health Insurance
If you have private health insurance, it may cover your hospital fees. You will discuss this during your consultation with Dr Hunt.
