Coronavirus and Plastic Surgery
In light of the current Covid-19 pandemic Dr Hunt would like to provide some information and reassurances to his patients.
The Covid-19 pandemic is constantly changing, and Dr Hunt and his team are monitoring the situation on a daily basis. The health and safety of our patients is a top priority and we will notify patients of any major changes as soon as these arise.
To guarantee the safety of our patients and team members, we kindly ask that you do NOT come to our clinic:
- If you have travelled overseas in the last 14 days
- If you have had contact with someone who is unwell, has confirmed Covid-19 or is confined due to possible Covid-19
NSW Health have advised that some elective surgeries may need to be cancelled or rescheduled as a result of Covid-19. If you have travelled overseas in the last 14 days, it is likely your surgery will be postponed until 14 days after you returned to Australia. If you have been in close contact with a person with confirmed Covid-19 your surgery will be rescheduled as soon as is practical after the 14-day exclusion period has lapsed.
We know that the current situation can cause concern about booking surgery. We would like to assure our patients that if surgery is cancelled due to the illness of Dr Hunt’s team or the hospital is unable to operate, you will be able to reschedule your surgery, as a priority, once normal conditions are restored.
If you fall ill, please notify us as soon as possible and we will try to find alternative dates for your surgery.
Dr Hunt is still consulting with his patients in both Sydney and Wollongong. We would like to advise any patients who have travelled overseas in the last 14 days to reschedule their appointment. We have ample amounts of hand sanitizer in the clinic and kindly request all patients use this as soon as they enter the building.
If you have booked a consultation or surgery with Dr Hunt and think you may be impacted by Covid-19, please call the practice on 02 9327 1733 and a member of the team will be able to provide you with more information.
We are closely monitoring the situation and will update this page, as well as current and upcoming patients with any major changes.
